JALALABAD, 16 March: Khurasan University (KU) of Nengrahar distinguishes herself from the rest of universities by achieving top 2nd position among private sector universities on national level in the recent assessment carried out by Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE), a handout released by MoHE confirmed on Monday.

The assessment committee of MoHE examined 104 universities across Afghanistan in Research, Higher Studies, Teaching Faculty, Administration, Infrastructure, Academic & Curriculum, Course Contents, Lecture Support Facilities, Training and Capacity Building Programs for Students, Students Satisfaction as well as University Financial position.

Hence KU was declared the second best university for higher education across Afghanistan with 88 assessment points out of hundred. It is also worth mentioning that KU considered the best place for higher studies in Eastern Zone of Afghanistan after standing at first position.

Mr. Ahamd Tariq Kamal, President of KU expressed profound pleasure and termed the achievement as the success of the efforts the academic staff and administration were making since the establishment of the KU. He went further to thank the staff while saying that Our staff efforts have made KU a landmark for higher education in Afghanistan.

Mr. Kamal envisioned that the youth are the builders of the nation and he said KU will invest furthermore on the students as to contribute to prosperous Afghanistan.

Established in the year 2006 KU as having five separate faculties namely Economics, Engineering, Computer Sciences, Journalism & Mass Communication and English Literature where more than two-thousand male and female students are perusing their graduation program under the supervision of nationally and internationally high qualified teaching faculties.
